A screw compressor consists of two rotating screw mechanisms, which fit together exactly. When these screws start to rotate, the air between them is compressed. Rotary screw compressors provide high capacity compressed air and are often used for industrial applications as they are well suited for continuous operation. In addition, screw compressors are generally fairly small, energy-efficient and low-noise.
